PROBLEM STATEMENT

Our research showed that many students at CSUMB have difficulty accessing and finding information about the resources available to them on campus. This can be especially challenging for students who are new to the campus, or for those who are not familiar with the various offices and departments that offer resources.

DESIGN PROCESS

For the Uniwallet app, we started with comprehensive research on student needs and campus resource utilization. This included gathering insights from students and campus administrators to understand the essential features required. Following this, we conducted ideation sessions, developing wireframes that seamlessly integrated campus resource access with traditional wallet functionalities.

USER RESEARCH

We conducted user research involving observation studies, interviews, and surveys to gather comprehensive insights for the Uniwallet app. Observation studies involved watching students navigate campus resources and manage their finances to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Interviews with students and campus administrators provided in-depth understanding of their needs and preferences.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

While apps like PayPal, Venmo, and Apple Wallet offer digital payment and wallet functionalities, they do not cater specifically to the needs of students on campus. Uniwallet has a unique opportunity to blend financial management with campus resource access, creating a solution tailored for students.
