THEMATIC LENSES
The Network & Security Team employed three thematic lenses: black site, black box, and black hole. These metaphors illuminate the negotiation of encrypted artifacts in daily life and their influence on concepts of embodiment, delineating the positioning of individuals amidst the realm of digital secrecy and hidden mechanisms. The design intentionally breaks traditional rules of alignment, balance, and repetition to echo the very nature of digital security: fragmented, layered, and non-linear.
EMPOWERING FUTURE GENERATIONS
As the designer behind the Network & Security Team's initiatives, I witnessed firsthand how my designs not only increased attendance but also heightened awareness throughout the campus. It’s inspiring to see new students embracing this vision and carrying it forward, ensuring that the impact we made at California State University, Monterey Bay, continues to resonate with future generations.
